Come and play. Take a moment for yourself.
Playful improv workshops where you can step away from everyday thoughts, meet others and discover what happens in the moment. We listen, move, make up stories and laugh together.
No improv experience needed. You don’t have to be funny or know how to act.
What improv has given me
Improv has helped me be more present, really listen and trust my intuition without worrying so much about what others think. It has shown me how human it is to make mistakes, and how much can emerge from our different perspectives. I’m still amazed by how creative we can be together. And sometimes it’s simply joyful and liberating to be “someone else” — to step outside the box of my usual self and explore what else is possible. That joy of discovery is what I want to share through these workshops.
I’m grateful to my improv teachers, especially Mairi Tikerpalu, whose Monday classes gave me a place to “take time out” and exercise my brain for years. Those evenings gave me room to play, experiment, make mistakes and discover more about myself and others.
Two ways to take part
Open jams · a break from the everyday
My aim is to bring people together a couple of times a month: to play, release tension and enjoy being together. Each jam stands on its own, so you can come whenever it suits you. It’s a chance to take time out and allow yourself a little more spontaneity.
A course with a regular group · discover more together
A course means 6–8 weekly meetings with the same group. We can gradually build trust, practise listening and supporting each other’s ideas, and explore new roles and perspectives. A familiar group also gives you space to notice your own development. We’ll bring a group together from those interested in the course.
What happens in a workshop?
We play simple improv games in pairs and as a whole group: movement, attention and listening games, shared stories and imagination exercises. Sometimes we pause to reflect on what we experienced. The focus is on participation and discovery, rather than a performance for an audience. You can also sit out an exercise.
Is this for me?
If you’d like to be more present, meet others or simply play, you’re welcome. You can come on your own. Awkward moments and mistakes are part of it — you don’t need to know in advance what to say or do.
Groups are held in either Estonian or English. Let me know which language you prefer.
Come along
